Are you one of those “lucky” gals who gets bad cramps during your period? Or PMS blues? Did you know that float therapy can help relieve those symptoms? Contrary to popular belief, it is actually encouraged for women to float while menstruating; it helps reduce inflammation and muscle tension; by relieving muscle tension, it helps reduce stress and pain associated with your time of the month discomforts. During floating a woman must wear a tampon or a feminine hygiene cup. A hygiene cup is recommended due to the possibility of salt being absorbed into the tampon, which for some woman can cause some irritability. If a woman has a heavier flow and is not able to last the full duration of the float without refreshing, it would be recommended to reschedule her float until the flow is lighter.
